Established in 2001, the library at Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology stands as a cornerstone of academic excellence and innovation. Aligned with the institute’s mission to produce skilled professionals in Management, IT, and Mass Communication, it provides an enriching environment for learning, research, and collaboration.

Library Membership

The KIHEAT Library is a proud subscriber to DELNET (Developing Library Network) and a member of the National Digital Library of India (NDLI). These memberships provide access to a vast array of digital resources, supporting students and faculty in their academic and research endeavors.

DELNET:

DELNET was established to promote resource sharing among libraries by creating a network of interconnected libraries. Supported by various government bodies, it compiles extensive databases such as:

  • Union Catalogue of Books and Periodicals
  • Database of Theses and Dissertations
  • CD-ROMs and Video Recordings
  • Articles and specialized collections


These resources enable libraries to minimize duplication and provide users with access to comprehensive materials for their academic and research needs.

National Digital Library of India (NDL): 

NDLI is a virtual repository of learning resources sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It is designed to serve students, researchers, and lifelong learners by providing:

  • Examination preparation resources for students and job aspirants
  • Research materials across all disciplines and academic levels
  • Multilingual content and interfaces in 10 widely used Indian languages


NDLI facilitates quick, focused searches, enabling users to access valuable information effortlessly. It is maintained by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.

Library Working Hours

The library operates as follows to cater to the academic needs of students and faculty:

Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Lunch Break: 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM

The library remains closed on gazetted holidays or as per the academic calendar of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU).

Library Rules and Regulations

To maintain a productive and respectful library environment, all users are required to follow these guidelines:

Borrowing and Issuance

  • A maximum of 4 books can be issued to a student at a time. Books are issued for 14 days and must be returned or renewed before the due date. Late returns will incur a fine of ₹5 per day.
  • A maximum of 5 books can be issued to a faculty at a time. . Books are issued for Semester and must be returned or renewed before the due date.
  • Lost books must be replaced by paying the current market price along with an additional fine of ₹500 for negligence.
  • Books can be renewed twice consecutively, extending the borrowing period. Further renewals are not allowed.

Book Condition and Use

  1. Books must be returned in their original condition. Fines will be imposed for damaged books.
  2. Reference books, journals, magazines, newspaper, and reserved materials are strictly for use within the library and cannot be borrowed.

General Conduct

  1. Silence must be maintained at all times to ensure a conducive environment for study and research.
  2. Mobile phones must be kept on silent mode.
  3. Marking, folding, or damaging library materials are strictly prohibited.
  4. Bags and personal belongings are not allowed inside the library. Storage facilities are provided outside.
  5. Food and beverages are not permitted in the library premises.


These rules are in place to preserve library resources and create a respectful space for all users. Your adherence to these guidelines is greatly appreciated.
