About Society

With a view to look after educational interests of the children living in West and South Delhi and providing them opportunity of studying in public schools, late Sh. O.P Tandon, who was himself a teacher of fame, established Sankalpa Educational Welfare and Charitable Society (Regd.) in 1993. He laid greater emphasis on a pattern of education which was to be a blend of value based education and of the use of new technology in the field of education, information technology and management.

As a first measure, the Sankalpa Educational Welfare and Charitable Society established Kamal Model School, Mohan Garden, New Delhi-110059 in 1994. The school was subsequently raised to the standard of secondary and senior secondary in a very short period of time. Kamal Model Sr. Sec. School is now one of the best run schools in West Delhi and Known for its remarkable scholastic and co-scholastic achievements.

Keeping in view the absence of any professional Institute in the area, Sankalpa Educational Welfare and Charitable Society established Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology at Mohan Garden, New Delhi-59 in 2001. The college aims at the allround development and bright future of young pass-outs of the schools. The Institute has established a special identity among the Institutes affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and is successfully running BBA, BCA, BA(JMC) and B.Ed. courses.

The Society after that opened Kamal International School at Nangli Sakrawati in 2002 for meeting the needs of school education of the Najafgarh and its suburbs. The School, by its academic and co-curricular performance, is recognized as a progressive and well-established school.

In 2004, for taking care of the requirements of the working couples of Dwarka, New Delhi, the Society established Tiny Tulips School in Sector-4, Dwarka, which has successfully and satisfactorily served the needs of working couples over the years.
