Kamal Institute of Higher Education & Advanced Technology, Mohan Garden, New Delhi celebrated its 2nd award of degrees ceremony on 14th Feb, 2016 at Dr. S.R .KVS Auditorium. 300 B.Ed students & 40 BBA & BCA students were given degrees by Chief Guest.
Prof. Shobha Sinha, C.I.E., University of Delhi was the chief guest on the occasion. In addition, the presiding guest of honour was Prof.Yogesh Kumar, NCERT, New Delhi. Guests of honour were Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Principal DIET , K.S Yadav Directorate of Education.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the sacred lamp by all the distinguished guests, paying homage to the founder of the institute - Late Shri O.P.Tandon.
Next was the PPT on performance of the Institute for the years 2009 till today. The tone of the degrees ceremony was further enhanced with gracious 'Saraswati Vandana'. It was followed by a song paying tribute to the late brave soldier – Hanumanthappa Koppad. Colourful magnificient Rajasthani folk dance was performed by the students.
Shri V.P. Tandon, Chairman Kamal Institue of Higher Education & Advanced Technology, Mrs. Vandana Tandon, Mr. Harsh Tandon, Vice-Chairman and Mrs. Akansha Tandon, Director Academics were the hosts of the function.
Then we had a welcome address by the Vice Chairman, Mr. Harsh Tandon. It was followed by academic report by Director-General Dr. S.R. Madan. All the dignitaries on the stage released 'SANKALPA' – the Institute's Journal. The function progressed with the recognition of best teachers of the institute from departments of BBA, BCA & B.ED.
Next, it was the moment of recognition for our meritorious students Vipin Kumar, Garima, Manika Saini, Agrita Kumari from B.Ed & Vishal Kaushik from BBA. Then began actual awards of degrees ceremony.
Our Chief Guest Prof. Shobha Sinha highlighted the importance of 'TEACHING' for the graduate teachers as commencement of their noble career. She exhorted the students to always love the students and never hate them. "It is through love and compassion, you can teach well to the students". According to her a teacher should not only be a Guide and a friend to the students but also be a person of higher character.
Prof. Yogesh Kumar presided over the function with his inspirational speech sharing his experience of an educationist.
The function culminated with a humble vote of thanks to all the dignitaries from our revered Director Sir Dr. J.S.Gujral followed by the National Anthem and lunch.
